GENERAL RULE UPDATES:
Please note the following rule changes to the 2010 SJGA Handbook
made in order to be in
compliance with USGA Rules and SJGA Policy:

Exchange scorecards with members of your group. No one may
keep his own official scorecard. The Tournament Director
will only accept a signed and attested official scorecard.
Penalty:
DISQUALIFICATION [General Rule 5C]

The use of electronic communication devices (including but
not limited to cell phones) during SJGA tournaments is
prohibited.
Exceptions: 1) placing a call to the Pro Shop to
report a malfunctioning cart and 2) calling 911 for an
on-course emergency. Penalty:

The SJGA 2010 Handbook has been updated to
reflect these changes.
REMINDERS:
You will not be
receiving hard copy “membership cards;” you will only receive an
e-mail from our treasurer, Jeanne Leisner, which provides you
with your 2010 membership number. Please record this for your
records.
When entries are
received for a tournament, we will immediately verify from our
current database that players requesting entry indeed have card
numbers. Note
that you cannot send an entry without having procured a 2010
membership.
You do not have to provide your card
number at any of our tournaments this year;
however, you will have to show photo ID.
We have registrars who are not familiar with all of our members.
Please be sure to have it with you when you sign in.
