As promised, SJGA is providing you the 2017 Membership Application and Tournament Schedule much earlier than usual so that you can plan your calendar accordingly. For a 3rd year, the collaboration between SJGA and NJSGA will continue, allowing players from north and south to enjoy golf at beautiful golf venues throughout our state.
For 2017 there will be only one membership fee of $25 whether it is mailed or completed on-line.
Once again, we have made every effort to keep the prices reasonable, while choosing wonderful courses, most of which are closed to the public. We will hold the Amateur at Hidden Creek, the Mid-Amateur at Medford Village, the Senior Amateur at Deerwood and the Cherwien Cup at Medford Lakes. Based on their popularity last year, we have again chosen Old York and Westlake for team events. Additionally, we will be revisiting 2 premier shore courses, the Bay Course at Stockton Seaview Hotel and Golf Club (old Seaview Marriott) and Blue Heron Pines, courses we have not played in several years.
Also, as requested, we are changing our entry sign-ups to allow you to register for multiple tournaments at the same time. We will be launching our website with all updated info on Wednesday, March 15th. We have worked to resolve sign-up issues such as one player not being able to sign up and paying for his entire team by credit card. Hopefully, on-line entries will run much smoother than previously. As a courtesy to our members, we will still be taking mail-in entries.
Please note: Since many of these tournaments will be played on private courses, the entries could fill more quickly than usual this year and we will not be allowed to extend the field. Please respond promptly when the entries open to secure your spot.
SJGA members will again have an opportunity to play on NJSGA open golf days. (This will be monitored by the SJGA and is based on limited slots available.)

Please join us in congratulating Roger Hoover who will be the Tournament Director for all SJGA events in 2017. John Petronis, our previous TD for many years, has accepted a position on our Advisory Board and will continue to counsel us on adult and junior golf initiatives in southern New Jersey.
REMINDER: The 2017 SJGA Manual is now available. Whether you choose to print it out or not, it is important to review any changes in policies and formats as well as any rules and regulations that have occurred for 2017. It is a player’s responsibility to be aware of any changes to rules and regulations applicable to tournament play.
On behalf of the SJGA Board of Directors I thank you for your support in 2016 and hope that you will join us on the links this coming season.
Gail Reilly, President
