Scramble Rules
Each player tees off on each hole. The best of the tee shots is selected and both players play their second shots from that spot. The best of the second shots is determined, then both play their third shots from that spot, and so on until the ball is holed. Only one score is recorded for each hole. Once the ball is holed, the score for that hole is final. There are no “gimmies;” every ball must be holed.

Once you select the shot to be used, place a marker on the ground. The next shot by both players must be hit from within 12 inches of that marker, no closer to the hole. You may not use the 12 inches to improve your lie. In other words, if the ball is in the sand, you must play the shot from the sand; if it’s in the rough, you may not move it to the fairway; if it is unplayable, you may not move it to a playable lie without incurring a one-stroke penalty. Once the ball is on the green, both players must putt from the exact same spot.

Local Rules
***PLEASE TOTAL YOUR SCORE – THIS WILL HELP SPEED UP THE SCORING PROCESS ***

1. Out of bounds: Balls on or across roads at #1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, and 18 are OB. Any ball that crosses a public road and comes to rest on another part of the golf course is OB. OB behind #7 green (stakes) and #18 green (fence). Practice putting green and clubhouse are OB (white stakes). If you hit your ball OB you must hit another from where you played your last stroke, and assess yourself a one-stroke penalty.

2. Cart rules: Keep carts on paths within 30 yards of tees and greens. Cart path only on all par 3’s.

3. Cart path relief: Free relief from asphalt-paved cart paths. No free relief from dirt cart paths.

4. Stones in bunkers: You may remove stones from bunkers.

5. Hazard Boundaries: The margins of water hazards and lateral water hazards are not marked by lines or stakes. Therefore, if there is a question as to whether your ball lies in a hazard, or as to where to begin marking your two club-lengths relief from a lateral hazard, you will have to make this decision with the concurrence of a fellow competitor. To help guide you in establishing these margins, here are the USGA guidelines for where to place lines or stakes defining the margin of a water hazard:
“Lines and stakes defining the margins of a water hazard should be placed as nearly as possible along the natural limits of the hazard, i.e., where the ground breaks down to form the depression containing the water.”

6. Course care: Fix ball marks, replace divots, rake traps.

7. Hole location: Red flag is front, White flag is middle, Blue flag is back

8. Cell phones are not permitted. Please turn cell phones off.

9. Distance measuring devices that measure distance only are permitted.

10. Bathrooms: Located just before #1 tee and at #4, 6, 12, and 16.

Course Information

Yardage markers: All markers are to the center of the green and are located in the middle of the fairway: Blue–200, White–150, Red–100. Distances are also noted on cart paths and sprinkler heads.

Tees: Play is from the White tees for men, Red/Gold tees optional for men 70 years and older with a handicap index of 10.0 or higher.

#4: 160 yards to carry water from White tee.

#5:  220 yards from White tee to end of fairway; 240 yards to water; 260 yards to carry water. Listen for a safety bell rung by group ahead before hitting tee shot. Ring safety bell when you reach it. Send out spotter for long hitters.

#12: Long hitters trying to cut dogleg must wait until green clears before hitting. Send out spotter.

#18: This hole will be played as a par 5, as originally designed. Look for the White tee box to the left of the cart path. Red/Gold tees will be around the bend. From the 200-yard marker, 112 yards to end of fairway, 122 yards to water.
