Essay Excerpt: In Peter Jacobsen’s quote,” No matter what you shoot – the next day you have to go back to the first tee and begin all over, he is not only talking about golf, he is talking about experiences in life. In my life, some situations have occurred where things did not go my way but I am not the kind of person who gives up or settles. Losing my 8th grade class presidency might have been the best thing that ever happened to me. It made me a better leader and to focus on my goals and go after it. At the end of the day, if you can look into a mirror and say I tried my very best and be happy with yourself, then you have succeeded in the game of life.”
