“Derek took full responsibility to go above and beyond in order to raise the level of production and the cast members. He was far from the typical leading player and never took the ‘I’m the Star’ mentality. What a great job and how refreshing to work with someone so humble and dedicated to the success of all involved and not just himself.”  Production Director

Golf Team
4-year Varsity Letter winner
18 Hole Handicap Index: 6.3
Home Course: Springfield

“Derek’s golf scores have steadily improved over the years and he is constantly trying to improve. He took a job last summer at Rancocas Golf Course in order to learn more about golf course maintenance as well as ‘picking the brains’ of members to help improve his game. He exemplifies high standards of integrity, perseverance, discipline and leadership.” Golf Coach

Essay Excerpt:

“The one main reason I feel there should be an age requirement for amateurs is that if they are allowed to turn professional at any age, it cuts into their education and I feel that amateurs should at least graduate high school and have played golf on their school’s team for at least two years. They should also have to keep their grades up to a certain standard. Ideally, I feel that the age should be at least 21. This way, amateurs are almost out of college and are ready for the tour.”

Derek has won a “NJ Stars” Award and will be attending Burlington County Community College.
